Subject: This service currently contains heat Mapping data for Wilmington and Surrounding areas.
The heat maps contain temperature data from Wilmington and surround townships as part of a community science program to better understand extreme heat. The data are collected using car-mounted sensors that drove 6 predetermined routes during three collection periods (6-7 am, 3-4 pm, 7-8 pm) on July 23, 2023. The data are available as transects for each collection period. In addition, a heat map is available for each collection period that combined the transect data with satellite data.
